Today was a short body maintence-day. My mind is recuperating from all the Father’s Day love. Spoke to all my children, I was showered with a few new generation clothing, received countless texts and post. My-“older”-sister Wanda Durham sent a card, my nephew Everett Johnson posted a statement of his appreciation to have me as his uncle, and my niece NaKi Williamsblessed me with the greatest surprising uncle card and gift.
I was reminded this morning in my quiet time ! “When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” John 1:47-50 NIV
Whew!!! I’ve experienced a few wants and disappointments in my days, yesterday reminded me what is truly important. All I ever wanted to be was a FATHER, everything else is extra, that God the Father has allowed me to have. God knew me before I realized whom He really is!!!
